Just south of the Indiana/Michigan border, Michigan City, Indiana, is located on the southern shore of Lake Michigan, about 60 miles east of Chicago.
Southeast of the junction of Highways 35 and 12, Blue Chip Riverboat Casino is moored on Trail Creek, which is a tributary of Lake Michigan. Consistent with a change in Indiana Gaming Law, Blue Chip is dockside now. From Sunday through Wednesday the casino is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. and from Thursday to Saturday, the Casino is open 24 hours. Admission to the boat is free.

Adjacent to the boat is the pavilion in which you will find the Blue Chip Buffet, the Grille on Easy Street, the Diamond Deli and free Valet parking. The Buffet offers breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Menus change for dinner nightly. The Grille on Easy street is a steak and seafood restaurant while the Diamond Deli offers made to order deli sandwiches on fresh bread.
A 184-room hotel, adjacent to the pavilion offers an exercise room, indoor pool, 2 whirlpools, enclosed parking garage, hair dryers, and coffee makers. For reservations call 1-888-879-7711. Within 4 blocks of the Casino is the Lighthouse Place Premium Outlet Mall. Some form of transportation to venues outside the Casino is recommended.
