The Potawatomi Zoo opened in 1902, making it Indiana's oldest zoo. It houses over 500 animals and is located in South Bend.

The Potawatomi zoo is located in a beautiful wooded park and houses 500 animals from all corners of the globe. Siberian tigers, alligators, snow leopards, zebras, flamingos, chimpanzees, and bears are just some of the animals you will see on your visit.

Special attractions include the Australian-Walkabout where guests are immersed in the Outback with wallaby, kangaroo, and emu. Have a close encounter with fascinating snakes and rare primates in our Learning Center.
