Mike Ice (a.k.a. Iceman) is an Indiana muskie guide and tournament angler. Mike grew up fishing and has over 27 years experience for both fresh and saltwater species of game fish. For the past five years he has dedicated all of his time on the water to hunting for the mighty muskellunge. Mike started guiding friends and family for muskies three years ago in the spring of 2001.
In the early spring of 2003, Mike started his company called “Iceman’s Guide Service”. As far as tournaments are concerned, in 2002 Mike won the 2nd Annual Michigan Muskie Alliance Tournament at Sanford Lake. As well as winning the tournament he also took big fish prize with a 44 incher that hit a bucktail spinner bait at boat side.
In 2003 Mike and his partner took 13th out of 90 boats catching two muskies in the 8th Annual Hoosier Muskie Classic. Mike is planning on and excited about participating in the Professional Muskie Tournament Trail (PMTT) in 2004.
Mike is a pro staff team member for VooDoo Tails premium muskie bucktails, Musky Nut Tackle Co. Mike is a member of Muskies Inc. Chapter #47 and serves on the board as part of the education and outings committees. Mike also volunteers his time to help the Hoosier Muskie Hunters and Webster Lake Muskie Club raise money to stock muskies in several Indiana lakes. Mike is a dedicated, serious and passionate guide and tournament angler who is committed to finding and catching muskies, but most importantly, to educate others on today's proper methods of handling and releasing their catch. Mike is a native Indiana Hoosier who guides on Webster Lake, Tippecanoe Lake, James Lake, Barbee Chain of Lakes, Loon Lake, and Skinner Lake just to name a few.
